Terms and Conditions
Walcott Scientific strives to supply academic field researchers and teachers with the best equipment available. As researchers ourselves, we feel that we are able to assess new products as they are introduced, saving our customers the time it would take to evaluate a dynamic market.
Limits of Liability
Our products are guaranteed against defects for 30 days from the date of receipt. By purchasing our products, the consumer accepts the condition of sales and acknowledges that Walcott Scientific is only responsible for the cost of replacing the defective merchandise and that Walcott Scientific will not be held liable for any consequential damages. We cannot accept responsibility for delays in shipping that lie outside our control.
Pricing
We abide by the rules set out by the manufacturers of our inventory and base our prices on their guidelines. We will honor the pricing reported either over the phone, electronically or via a written quotation for the amount of time outlined by the sales representative. Should the price decrease, the savings will be transferred to the customer. Discounts for multiple purchases are generally available, contact a sales representative for information.
Sales Tax
Sales tax will only be accessed for orders that are delivered to California. However, if your institution is tax-exempt, we will waive the sales tax with certification of status.
Back Orders
Because of the specialized nature of the computers, it is possible that certain integrated configurations might not be available at time of purchase. We will not substitute an order and will let you know immediately if the item(s) are not available. You will have the option to cancel the order or place the item(s) on back order.
Return Policy
Products may be returned for full refund or replacement within 30 days of receipt. Non-defective merchandise may be assessed a 10% restocking fee and shipping charges are non-refundable. After 30 days, we will work with the customer in negotiating returns with the manufacturer directly. Before returning any item, please contact our sales department for a Return Merchandise Authorization number (RMA). A unique RMA is needed for each item and items will not be accepted without an RMA. All items must include the original box, packing, literature, and accessories. A $30 fee will be assessed for missing materials. Please ship returns with a tracking number.
Payment Method
We accept payment via cash, cashiers check, personal check, major credit card, and institutional purchase order. There is no surcharge or other variation in rates between methods. Orders are processed upon receipt. Personal checks may take up to 10 days for clearance. Invoices are Net 30. Unpaid invoices over 30 days past delivery of the order will be subject to a 10% late fee.

All information requested by our sales department is for the sole purpose of ensuring clear shipping and purchasing. We request the name and address of the recipient, name and address of the authorized purchaser, credit card type and number (if applicable). Personal information and financial information is only stored on non-networked, secure computers and will never be provided to any third party. Any requests for information will be forwarded on to the customer and will not be honored.
