The new, Nomad computer from TDS is an exciting new addition to their popular line. Like a 'Recon on steroids', the Nomad boasts these improvements:
*806 MHz Marvell XScale processor
*128 MB high-speed SDRAM
*512 MB or 1 GB Flash memory
*Full VGA screen (twice the pixel resolution as other PDAs)
*Integrated GPS option
*USB host and client and audio jack
All the Nomad models come with Windows Mobile 6.0, integrated Bluetooth 2.0, both SDIO and CompactFlash slots. You can choose between the standard model or integrated 802.11 b/g wireless and GPS (SiRF III / WAAS). You can also still get a standard 9-pin serial connection, an integrated 2 megapixel camera or 1D laser bar code scanner. Models come with either a PDA or numeric style keypad.
Like the Recon, the Nomad has a bright sunlight-readable screen, MIL-STD-810F standards and is impervious to dust and water immersion.
